I''ll say it again. Brent Barry is as soft as Charmin!  

He's wonderful in the open court, probably one of the best, and he can
shoot the three but he will give up points at will on the other end and
will disappear in the biggest games of the year.  He is not a leader.
He defers too much to dominant personalities around him which should not
be the personality of the point guard, especially one that has Paul
Pierce on the team.  

He is NOT Jiri Welsch.  Jiri Welsch is one of the best defenders the
Celtics have. Jiri Welsch has that fire in the belly to take on all
challenges no matter how difficult and succeed.  Brent Barry doesn't.


If they can hide his defensive liabilities, do not expect him to be a
leader and can deal with his disappearing acts then he would be a nice
pickup.  He definitely would run a dynamite fast-break with Davis on one
wing and Pierce on the other.
