Reasons Why It's A Great Trade

1. Ainge had to break up the Pierce - Walker - O'Brien
offensive ball-hogging nexus to truly convert the team into
a running, unselfish unit.

2. In a couple year's time, when Perkins is the starting center,
the LaFrentz, Perkins, Pierce frontcourt will be one of the better
ones in the NBA.

3. Jiri Welsch is a talented player who can fill in at either
PG or SG.

4. You can never have enough first round picks with the influx of
foreign players in the draft these days.

5. Chris Mills ($5 or $6 million) contract comes off the books after
the season, offering cap flexibility.

6. They didn't need Delk.

7. They needed to free up PF minutes for Baker.

8. Ainge after not dumping O'Brien, had to put his imprature on the
team, and a Walker deal did just that.
