it's still early

Having been a Boston fan for over 3 decades it doesn't surprise me that 
there is so much griping going on so early. Well let me add on to the 
pile.
I was listening to the Laker/Suns game tonight on the radio. The guys 
in the booth would not stop about how they would never understand why 
the C's gave up on Joe Johnson so early in his career, especially after 
being the 10th pick in the draft. Tonight JJ was aggressive from the 
tip and looked great.
I guess my question is, why would an NBA team trade a highly sought 
after college player so early in his rookie season? And why did they do 
it with Billups as well? Is there a trend here? Why wouldn't they trade 
Twan if they have absolutely no patience? Will Danny make any 
difference?
The total wins for the C's at the Stardust has gone from 48 to 43 in 
the last week btw.
