Re: Sad news (even for Celtics fans)

Michael:

I just read an article on Mourning and was thinking almost the same thing. However, my main beef is with the officials. How can you not call goal tending when the shooter is shooting down at the basket. If my memory is correct, he was above the rim and released the ball down towards the goal. So, it had to be goaltending.

However, I never really was any kind of Mourning fan, but this is a cruel thing to happen to anyone. Has the cause of his aliment every been confirmed? For some reason, I am thinking that he was taking too much tylenol or the like for pain. This was to allow him to play ball? Is that even close to correct?

In any event, I join you in your wishes for Mourning.

Peace,

Bentz

I'm still mad at Mourning for hitting the jumper that ended Kevin McHale's
career (even though I'm madder at Kendall Gill for goaltending and fouling
Dee Brown on the following play). I'm still mad at Mourning for helping
El Greaso achieve a measure of success in Miami. But I'm not mad enough
to feel anything but sorrow for the news that his kidney ailment has ended
his career and is threatening his health. It's always a sad thing to see
a great player go down, no matter whose uniform he wears. I hope Zo gets
his kidney transplant and goes on to lead a long, healthy life.
