Let's set the record straight

Let's set the record straight. Regardless of the talk the last couple of days
and what Bulpett had in an article today, it wasn't Banks that had trouble
bringing the ball up the floor against NO. Yeah, Banks got picked clean by Davis
one time right there in the middle of the floor in front of God and everyone.
But in all the other times in his 10 minute stint, he didn't have a problem
against the press, Davis or aggressive pressure by Armstrong. It was James that
had all the problems.

I went back and looked at the tape. Obie called a timeout and pulled Banks
twice when he had back responsibility and allowed the Hornets to downcourt
beyond him for fast breaks. I assume that was the reason. James got caught in the
air and threw it away a couple of times. You can blame James for not getting
the offense started with his difficulty with the pressure.

Say what you want about Banks. He is on the steep slope of the learning
curve. But it wasn't him having trouble bringing the ball up against NO. Steve
Bulpett, I would have expected better out of you.....

Seeing the tape, I have to give props to Jiri. He does have a redeeming
quality. Although it appears that he is moving in slow motion, he does see the
floor well. He can create offense because he can drive and create ala Brent Barry.
If he could just shoot like Ainge says he can we would have a player.....

I looked to discover why Baker never got the ball in the post. Simply, it was
because James was having difficulty bringing up the ball and the PP show was
going on. Only PP was able to pass the ball into Baker in the post and he did
so only once.....

Shiri today attempts to defend not resting PP by saying that EWill was hurt
and LaFrenz and Kedrick had foul trouble. Not buying that excuse. You always
got utility man Walta or you could give Jiri a few more minutes between the
quarters.....
