Re: Re: Tidbits from Sean Deveney

Maybe i am an idiot but why wouldn't ainge or any other gm want players who could both play half court offense and run the fast break? Was that the most obvious comment ever made? Jeez danny, what's next? wanting to have a team that scores more points than the other team on a consistent basis.

Between these ridiculuous statements, the re-signing of o'brien, and this whole brain doctor thing, my opinion of ainge is not very high.

Like I say though, anything is better than chris wallace, even inamimate objects and jan volk.

Ainge is gung ho about building the team around the cornerstones
of Pierce and Walker.

Getting players that can compliment them

Reducing their cap burden to avoid the luxury tax

Most interesting thing he said, was the part about wanting players who
can play both in a half court and full court offense,
and create offense for others. Leaves your friend TJ Ford
out. Indicates to me that he needs a PG who can shoot from the outside,
run the fast break, and produce scoring opportunities for other players
not named Pierce or Walker.
