Administrivia: Columns, URLs & attachments

Folks,

All attachments sent to the list are removed by the list software before
your posting gets sent.  All html is unformatted back to plain text. This
keeps digest folks happy (attachments and html) do bizarre things when put
into the digest format.  It also prevents viruses from being sent to the list.

As for posting columns versus full URLs, I ask folks to respect any
copyrights and not repost copyrighted material to the list without prior
permission from the author.  

In my opinion (not rule or guideline), posting the URL to a column gives those
interested the opportunity to click on the link and read the article and
allows those who are not interested to move on quickly to the next item.
