Yes, because as has been pointed out repeatedly in the news, that deal
actually lowered our cap amount slightly for this past season, lowering the
likelihood that he would end up paying out a luxury tax. Bakers was a
salary swap for a slightly lower amount this year. Rogers was adding salary
with no swap back to lower the net and fairly sure to lead to luxury tax
payout. Gaston's interest in the team pretty clearly began and ended with
how much it put in his pocket.
