the end

I watched most of last night's game and, for once, was thoroughly
entertained. While the end result was unfortunate for us, it was certainly
not unexpected. My thoughts on some of the players:
Delk was hot and I see him more and more in the classic Vinnie Johnson
mode. He isn't a point guard, as was painfully obvious every time the Cs had
a break opportunity but walked it up the floor into the half-court game.
Like one of the columns the other day said, the Nets are the team we'd love
the Celtics to be.
Pierce is elevating his game even higher. I thought they'd have to
carry him off on a stretcher last night.
Blount has played with fire ever since coming back from Denver. His
skills are limited, but he is certainly a competent back-up center.
EWill played a big game. After watching him work in the low post, one
wonders why he isn't getting 12-15 ppg night in and night out down there.
Not flashy, but a solid player who contributes.
And the Walkers, "Evil Antoine" and his cousin "Good Antoine." I give
up. It's all been said. I don't know what you do with him. "Good Antoine"
has so many skills you don't want to trade him and has such a good attitude
that you want him around. "Evil Antoine" is such a bonehead you want him in
Denver.
Will Bremer continue to develop? Will Battie (who continues steady
improvement) be healthy?
Tune in in six months ...
