Good point. After five seasons with the Celts, Pierce has be frustrated 
by ending up with Delk, Blount, and Bremer as the only additions to 
the same old tired nucleus of himself, Walker, Battie, Williams, and 
McCarty.  But he is, believe it or not, still only 25 yrs. old, and the old 
man (Walker) is still only 26 yrs. old.

Ainge must do the following five things. 

1) Oversee a change in our offense whether it be through Obie or a new 
coach

2)  Either deal Walker or at least confine him to his strengths, not allow
him to maximize his weaknesses

3) Snag an above average player with our mid-level exception

4)  Draft at least one rookie capable of immediately contributing to 
the rotation

5) Try somehow to get out of the Baker contract (which I read
he is already working on).

Then, and only then, will we finally be on the right track.
