Danny's first moves

I think the timing on the Ainge deal is terrible. I dont think the Celtics are a team that needs to have a fire lit under them. Playing with passion has never been their problem. However, its a fact, so well just have to deal with it. Danny was on my all-time favorite Celtic team and is a real student of the game. Now if he just wasnt such an awful TV analyst.

Anyway, you have to assume hell want to make some moves as the new Boss and hell be looking for a point guard or a Center. Im not sure what we can really get for Antoine in that kind of a deal. You can forget about Eddie Curry. To match Toines salary up, wed need to get at least 5 Bulls or Jalen Rose. I dont see either of those things happening. Walker for Casall and Kukoc? Maybe if Sam was 5 years younger, but at 34 he really doesnt have enough left in the tank. Andre Miller and Elton Brand? Again, those salaries dont match up and Don Sterling has never shown any inclination to pay maximum salaries.

There is one intriguing possibility. Despite Mark Cubans willingness to spend money, he is starting to have a cap problem. He has a very bad contract on his hands right now. How would people feel about a deal that would send Antoine to Dallas for Nash and Tariq Wahad? Wahad still has 5 years left on the awful contract Denver gave him. Could we stand two bad contracts (Baker and Wahad) on our team?
