Hmm..

With every bad loss and bad game outta Toine we hear calls to trade him..
But I think other GM's probably undervalue the guy. PP has a much higher
trade value and we could get a real star for him or a very high pick. Granted
PP is much better but..the point is.. why trade a guy like Toine?

This idea that he is a "ceiling" or that we can't get any farther with Toine
is nonsense. We need more talent. If trading Toine would get us more talent I
am for it..but I think it would probably bring us less...alot less.

Toine is not a "problem" guy.. He is hardworking, and dedicated to winning at
basketball. Outsiders see his shot selection issues (which often occur when
Pierce isn't on the court) and think that he is a bad guy. Nothing could be
further from the truth. He seems to be a GREAT guy.

We CAN build around Toine and Pierce. We need good drafting and
trading..something which hasn't gone 100% our way. But one good draft
pick..or one excellent trade can turn things around. We are one good/great
player away from being a great team.

Wallace thought Vin Baker was that guy... Let's hope he has better judgement
in the future. Points are routinely selected lower in the draft and can turn
out very well. The Bremer thing shows me that Wallace can spot a decent
point..and I think with a draft pick we could really pick up someone who can
play.

Personally..I am not sure its T.J. Ford. I have visions of Andre Miller..and
no that's not a good thing. I am of the belief that many of the good players
never make it to college nowadays. Then again I haven't seen him play that
much. Also wow did you guys take that Troy Bell comment outta context. He was
complimenting T.J..<g>

Anyway, with any luck..you folks will see.. Once they bring in another
scorer/stud or if say Kedrick develops into such a player Toine will scale
things back..and the Celts will be very good.
