Both Paul & Antoine averaged 22.3 points per game.
Paul shot better from 3, much better from the floor, and eminently better
from the line.
Antoine still averaged close 7 three pointers a game, even though he shot
only 25%.
Pierce cut back to 4 per game shooting 29%
Walker averaged 23.6 shots per game shooting 39%
Pierce averaged 17.9 shots per game shooting 46%
One thing to worry about is the fact that Paul has not been getting to the
line like he was before his injury. After averaging close to 10 a game all
season long, he was down to below 7 a game during this stretch. Of course,
that's still considerably more than anyone else on the team.
Antoine has picked up his assists (5.9) and rebounds (7.7) to Paul's 4.6 &
7.2.
The assists hold up to per 48 minutes (AW-6.7 to PP-6.0)
The rebounds do not (AW-8.7 PP 9.3)
Paul has more steals (1.9 to 1.4) and more blocks (.7 to .2).
The difference is even wider per 48 minutes.
Paul is the only player on the team to have a tendex over 20 during this
stretch.
His per 48 tendex is also very good.
Antoine has moved ahead of Tony Battie to now be fourth among starters in
tendex per 48 minutes. This is a drastic improvement over the last time I
posted this where he was barely better than Baker.
JR Bremer has an outstanding 26.02 per 48 minute tendex over the last 10
games considering his role, second on the team only to Pierce. For
comparison purposes the average per 48 min tnd for a point guard is 20.45.
Although we've seen some big shots from Walter, he really didn't do much else
in these last games. Even extending to per 48 minutes, he has been less than
average across the board. Among players seeing real minutes, only Bremer and
Delk have less rebounds. Only Bremer and Walker have less blocks. Only
Bremer has less steals. Only Battie and Blount have less assists.
Tony Battie has also been less than spectacular lately. His points and
rebounds are both down from earlier in the season. His tendex ratings were
way above average the last time I posted these stats. Now his tnd is barely
above average (average for center is 9.4) and his per 48 is below average
(av. 19.53)
Even with a bad back Pierce has the fifth best tnd and 5th best per 48 tnd
amongst shooting guards in the last 10 games.
Antoine's 18.6 tnd is above average (12.28) for his position, but his 21.16
per 48 tnd is below (21.24). Neither puts him in the top 10.
For those that would rather compare him to small forward, those averages are
11.02 and 18.37.
