Boston's signing of Bimbo Coles gives the Celtics an excellent chance again of
winning the lottery rights to Tim Duncan. Given another chance of drafting Joe
Forte or Tony Parker, Red Auerbach was quoted in Sunday's Boston Globe saying
he'd make the same choice. If the author cared the least little bit about the
aging Auerbach he would've pretended not to hear that remark. Got a call
yesterday from a concerned friend of Celt GM Chris Wallace who'd heard the new
owners were planning to buy him out of his remaining 3-year contract. Untrue.
