Brandon Hunter



Hunter had 18 points and 16 boards against Kentucky. Could be a steal. The
Shaq of the MAC! Sounds like he has an interior Fortson like mentality

This guys rebound numbers are pretty impressive, pulled down 26 boards one
game 20+ rebounds 3 times.

blocks (one shy of his career high) twice during the season (Navy, vs.

2001-02: Named first-team All-MAC. started 26 games this season... missed
games at St. Bonaventure and against Marshall... led the team in scoring
(17.3 ppg), rebounding (9.1 rpg) and minutes played (32.4 mpg)... connected
on 48.9 percent (159-325) from the field, including 37.3 percent from
three-point range. hit just 60.3 percent from the free throw line. third on
the team with 25 three-pointers... had 10 double-doubles during the season
to run his career total to 27... just missed with nine points and nine
rebounds against Toledo... topped double digits in scoring in all but four
games... led the team in scoring 11 times, including a season-high 30 at
Marshall... the high rebounder 22 times, including 19 of the last 21
games... grabbed a season-high 15 boards against Oakland and topped double
figures nine other times... made 13-of-14 free throw attempts against Ball
State. tied for second on the team with 56 assists. season high was seven at
Western Michigan. had the team high on six other occasions, including six at
North Carolina. blocked 25 shots, second-most on the team... had a
career-high five against Duquesne. did not foul out of a game all season,
totaling just 60 for the entire year.

2000-01: Named to the All-MAC first team and the league's all-tournament
team. finished in the top five in the MAC in scoring, rebounding and field
goal percentage. the only player on the team to start all 30 games for the
Bobcats. led the team in scoring (18.4 points per game), rebounding (9.4
boards per game) and minutes played (988/32.9). had 14 double-doubles, the
second-highest total in the league. hit double figures in scoring 26 times,
including a career-best 37 at Duquesne. also grabbed 13 rebounds that night.
topped 20 points on 13 occasions, including six straight games near season's
end. grabbed at least 10 rebounds in 14 contests, including a career-high 19
against Miami. connected on 51.0 percent from the field (181-of-355). made
at least 10 field goals on three occasions. hit at least 10 free throws six
times. set a MAC Tournament record with 32 free throw attempts in three
games... dished out 80 assists, the second-highest mark on the team. made 23
steals and blocked 15 shots.

1999-2000: Named to MAC All-Freshman Team and was runner-up for Freshman of
the Year... started in 32 of 33 games despite a bout with mononuecleosis in
February... third on the squad in scoring with 11.3 ppg and second in
rebounding with a 6.2 average... 19 double-figure scoring games, including
14 over the last 21 games... five double-figure rebounding games with four
double-doubles... tallied 17 points on eight-of-12 shooting against WMU in
the first round of the MAC Tournament... scored career-high 24 points vs.
Central Michigan... also grabbed 11 rebounds... season-high 12 boards with
17 points against Central Florida for his first career double-double...
season-high seven-of-nine shooting from the field in the win over
Marshall... tallied 18 points on 8-11 shooting vs. Kent State (2/26)...
scored 16 points on 7-of-10 from the field at Akron... recorded third
double-double with 17 points and 11 boards vs. Ball State... scored 18
points vs. Buffalo, 16 in the second half, with 10 boards... double-figure
rebounding game with 10 boards vs. WMU (1/22)... opened season with 14
points and nine boards against Cleveland State, while playing season-high 37
minutes.

Sounds bigger and better than Eric Williams.  I like the undersized, more
mobile, feisty PF types and this is evidently one of them.  Sounds like Sam
Clancy of USC last year.  If he sticks, I can see him being a good #10
player or so.  Certainly, Bruno and Walter should worry about PT with an
