Re: RED ALERT: Wyc & Trust Fund Steve On WEEI

Also:

They said they have a 5-10 year plan and thats why they brought in Danny,
who they paid a lot of money for.

Asked about a new building: no plans at this time...7 years to go who knows
what happens then. Good deal with Fleet (rent free). Working with them on
some improvements.

Big O asked if they overpaid for team - no building no tv station and 360
mil versus 700 for sox fenway and nesn. Argued that the price was right -->
huge tax write offs when buying a team, low interest on their debt, rent
free, and the NBA tv contract made it a nobrainer.

Going to 16 mil over this year and willing to pay it this year and next.
Came in with the idea that things needed changing but they had the resources
not to blow things up and to take the hit for now. No short term fixes with
large long term costs - have a plan and sticking with it.
