You're Whistling In the Graveyard Re: Lakers

The Lakers have had a kick ass off-season, blowing away anything the
Celtics have accomplished, and to foolishly think that Payton and Malone
won't
fit in is silly. Those two are on their final NBA cruise and will
sublimate their
games to win a championship, They'll fit in, in much the same way, that
Mitch Richmond
did.

And it's not just Payton/Malone! What about their draft?  They got a
terrific player
in Cook, soft and all, but with the league's strongest force in Shaq,
Cook's
weaknesses are negated. And then there's Walton. A perfect player for
their
system and ready to contribute right away.

And then there's the little matter of last year's acquisition Rush, a
tremendous
shooter, who should also be a factor this season.

The Lakers, I'm afraid, are light years ahead of the Celtics....
