Re: I wonder...

Let's also look at the other Big draft year..

... What do we honestly think NOW of Wallaces virtual trades of
Billups/Mercer  -> Kenny/JoeJohnson   -> Vin/Delk ?       Is the talent
comparable all the way through?

... What do we honestly think NOW of his talent evaluation of the three
1997 draft choices -

#3 Billups - .407 FG%, 3.6 APG, 13.1 PPG (.396 3P%)
#6 Mercer - .440 FG%, 2.2 RPG, 9 PPG (.222 3P%)
#56 Pepper - Never made it

when we see how well

#7 Thomas - .444 FG%, 5.1 RPG, 13.6 PPG (.368 3P%)
#9 Mcgrady - .462 FG%, 6.3 RPG, 30.2 PPG (.384 3P%)
#23 B. Jackson- .498 FG%, 3.7 APG, 19.5 PPG (.393 3P%)

are doing, and how well the undrafted players that year are doing.

#NA Alvin Williams - .444 FG%, 5.2 APG, 14.7 PPG (.355 3P%)
#NA Marc Jackson - .454 FG%, 2.2 APG, 5.5 PPG
#NA Predrag Drobnjak - .436 FG%, 4.5 RPG, 9.5 PPG

I'd say that Wallace/Papile have been average in evaluating top college
talent, and have done well finding unknown talents. I'll bet that the
unheralded Bremer/Kedrick 4 years from now, will have better numbers and
be far better players than Billups/Mercer at this point.
