But he only has one guy who plays and he traded for him.
There are other guys who play for the Clippers that I would welcomed in a Celtic uniform. Two that come to mind Chris Wallace could have drafted. They are Q. Richardson and Corey Maggette. I'll give you Maggette since he was in the famous Andre Miller/Shawn Marion draft. It was with Wallace as the GM, that the Celtics traded the draft rights away for Big V. Of course the next year we got Moiso instead of Q. I remember wondering, what exactly are they thinking in Boston?

Your right, Baylor did trade for Brand. He traded a high schooler that is still full of potential for an all star.
The Clips had a decent year last year. They won a lot of exciting games. Many people thought they would possibly make the playoffs this year. It looked as though Baylor had finally pushed all of the right buttons, regardless of the stingy owner.
But things haven't worked out accordingly. No question they are a disappointment this year. I don't think Baylor was expecting Andre Miller to be so underwhelming. Still, Baylor drafted Marko Jaric in the second round last year who already has proven to be a pg talent. Another guy who would look good in green. Nonetheless the Clips are not together because of guys without contracts. That is the sad part about their ownership.
However your question was how is Baylor better then Wallace? In trading for Miller, Baylor had an expectation for a great player. When Wallace traded for Baker, how did you feel? Excited? When Miller was traded to the Clips I thought, holy crap these guys could be good. When I heard Baker was coming to Boston I thought, holy crap, what in the hell are they thinking? The C's traded for a huge contract with little upside. The Clips traded for no contract with huge upside.
Wallace drafted 3 wing players in 01 when all we really needed was a decent PG and some help down low.
What's really disturbing is some of the trades that you hear Kenny Anderson involved in. Kenny for Ratliff? Can you imagine having Ratliff instead of Baker? Who knows what will happen but Wallace heading out of town would be a good start.
