Re: tonight's game

I would stand and applaud also....but for different reasons....glad he's
gone....just another highly paid player producing little compared to his
ability....I'm sure there will be plenty of Walker fans cheering him on....

Tommy is Tommy, very aggressive player/coach/announcer....

Walker/Ainge spat....not good to burn bridges.....he may be back
someday.....egads.....

Subject: tonight's game

> I don't know if I'll get home in time to catch the beginning of the
game, so would really appreciate it if someone on the list could post a
description of the reaction Walker gets when introduced. Me? I'd be on my
feet for him. He gave his heart and soul to the Cs for years. It may not
have been what was needed, but he was always a good citizen and hard worker.
> If anyone hears Heinsohn's comments on the Walker/Ainge spat (he said
he'd talk tonight) I'd like to hear that as well. But with ESPN doing the
game, does Tommy work? And while I'm talking about Tommy, I imagine many of
us feel the same way: I dislike his bellicose rants about the refereeing,
but every so often, usually fairly quietly, he talks about the team and how
it's doing, and when he gets into that mode, he's as perceptive as anyone
else. Did anyone else catch his comment towards the end of the last game
where he said something to the effect that he really doesn't know what
Walter's job is with this team? This is from the guy who roars about how
much he loves Walter? When he talks like that, he's terrific. So Tommy,
tone it down, OK?
