We got close (1 point off) in 2001-2002 from March 31 to April 8th;

March 31 - Milwaukee: 110-80 (win)
April 2nd - @ Indiana: 105-94 (win)
April 5th - L.A. Lakers: 99-81 (win)
April 7th - @ New Jersey: 102-90 (win)
April 8th - @ Chicago 100-105 (loss)

We were one point off again from November 3rd to November 17 in 2001 but 
we lost two of those games.
