I think after last year's Baker debacle,  we would do it in a heartbeat. 
However, that's why it just isn't going to happen. If Riley wanted to attempt to 
take a risk on a questionable bigman, he would have kept Zo.  I think Riley 
realizes you can't go total bust rebuilding and that you have to have some talent 
to attract talent. Odom just puts them at the 40 million mark. They still can 
sign a player with the mid-level exception every other year (something we 
can't do with Baker).

There is also the possibility of getting a Wallace. Or you never know when a 
Dallas is going to come a calling a take your bad contract off your hands.

Riley's team doesn't make sense right now. But he isn't under Ford's 
timetable of putting together some crazy trade so he can fill a column for the next 
day. Riley is building a stable for the future. I don't think they will be much 
better by adding Odom this year but he is looking long term.
