Celtics News You Can Use Or Lose

- Looking For A Center I: If the O'Brien doomed Celtics are
looking for a legitimate center, there will be one on the trade
block after the season. Rumors
are swirling that the Cavs want to move out Ilgauskas and are talking to

the Mavs about a Ilgauskas for Van Exel trade. What can the Celtics
offer the Land of Cleve? Baker, Brown, and the two firsts?
Brown, Delk, Eric Williams and the two firsts? Something. Anything.
Worth a muffled shot.

- How bad are things on the Kedrick Brown developmental watch?
Ex-Celtics Jerome Moiso scored more points -- 10 -- in last night's
game against the Sixers than Kedrick Brown has netted in two seasons
of playoff basketball. I wonder what defacto GM Trust Fund Steve
thinks of Brown? You'll know if he's packaged in a deal.

- Bill Simmons says to pay attention to Indiana's performance Sunday.
If they're listless and blown out, the players have bypassed Isiah and
are actively seeking a new coach. Can't blame them, Isiah's got to go.

- Looking For A Center II: Seattle is looking to move picks 12 and 14
to avoid paying the luxury tax, as they have a mulktitude of their own
free agents to sign. Hmmm, perhaps the C's could package pick 16/17 and

a future first for 12. Then package 12 and 20 to move up to 7 or 8 in
the lottery.
Let's hope the Trust Fund Steve/Wallace GM combo is creative. Seattle
also
may be amenable to trading fine shooting Yugo center Predrag Drobnjak in
a
sign and trade.

- Bruno Sundov announces he hates Alan Alda for ruining MASH.

- Bob Ryan expressed the belief in a recent column, that Jim O'Brien
is a traditional coach, and his bizarre offensive manifestations are a
result
of the talent on the team. We shall see the veracity of Bob's statements

put to the test, as Mr. Traditional Coach will have the perfect
opportunity
to campaign for a traditional point guard via the draft. Can't get any
more old
school than Ridnour or Hinrich.....

- Peter May notes how the coaching malefesiance known as Isiah has
destroyed Al Harrington. Isiah is the Celtics secret weapon in this
series.
