What Can You Say.....

Isiah Thomas, the Antoine Walker of coaches, coached a decent game.

No Jonathan Bender or the washed up Tim Hardaway
in the fourth quarter; Reggier Miller present in clutch
situations, better use of timeouts, greater understanding of how to
defend Paul Pierce, and proper usuage of Austin Croshere,
were all in force.

Let's see if he can do it again. Not a given for sure, for the
inconsistent
Isiah, whom good friend Peter Vecsey softly chides with:

"The Pacers must get the ball out of Paul Pierce's hands. Especially
when he puts it on the floor, because he's not an especially good passer
and will turn it over. Once Pierce goes into his move his focus is to
draw a foul, not give it up."

The thing is, with the vast difference in talent between the Pacers and
the
Celtics, Isiah merely has to be mediocre as a coach to get the job done.

That's right, not even good, as there is only one player on the Celtics:

Pierce who crack Indiana's starting lineup. That my friends is a BIG
difference in talent and requires Isiah to just not
screw things up for the Pacers to beat the Celtics.

That's the startling truth and forced reality of the aftermath of
Wallace, Gaston, and O'Brien's policies.
