Isn't Walker's contract running out?
I don't think the Celts want to give him the max soon I wouldnt be surpised
if he was traded. Walker at times plays star quality basketball and can be
really fun to watch. He can take over a game and singlehandly beat any team
in the league. He is probably even better at this then Pierce.

But other times he plays just awful! Grant Long, Walter McCarty and others
all out play him on occasion. <g>He is easily one of these streakiest players
in the league.
PP with his rebounding, slashing and defense on the other hand never has a
really awful game..just some mediocre ones.

I echo the feeling that others have on this list.:
Problem is with Walker - he plays like a shooting guard who can't shoot. So
we have one PF (Tony Battie) playing center, and one shooting guard playing
PF. Problem with Walker is that he can't defend the SG or even small forward
postion.

Most of Walker's fans love him because he can do SG/PG stuff from the PF
postion but this versatility doesn't help if he won't do the PF stuff. Like I
said before I would trade him for Elton Brand in a second...

The problem for the Celtics is this: How can you get fair value for this guy?
Even Wallace knows that the shock of being traded from the Celts might whip
Antoine into shape and haunt the Celtics for years. But at the same time I am
not certain teams would even offer up a high lottery pick for Walker and our
pick, never mind a guy like Brand.

Another option would be to bring in a real point at MAKE him run the show.
This could limit Walker's bad shots and encourage him to play his position
properly. This is what Kenny did to Walker last year, and he did play better.

But when Walker's contract runs out..we will still be stuck. I don't think he
would ever take less then the max.
