Something's Cookin' in Orlando

Sorry, JB and the other Omar fans. You may be happy to see Omar Cook in
action this year, but it won't be for the Celtics. From AP:

The Orlando Magic signed free agent guards Omar Cook and Corey Benjamin on
Monday.

Terms of the deals weren't disclosed.

Cook played in 35 games last season with Fayetteville of the National
Basketball Development League. He averaged 12.2 points and a league-leading
7.8 assists per game.

The Magic originally selected Cook in the second round of the 2001 draft.
The team traded Cook's rights to Denver for a future first-round draft pick.
Cook played one season at St. John's University before leaving for the NBA.

Benjamin spent last season in Italy with S.S. Sutor Montegranaro and in
the ABA with the Southern California Surf.

Benjamin was originally selected in the first round 1998 draft by Chicago.
He has appeared in 144 NBA regular season games during his career, all with
the Bulls, averaging 5.5 points and 1.6 rebounds a game.
