Re: A man with a plan?

When I read Mark's posts, it makes me want to storm Celtics' offices :o
Unfortunately, I think what he says is right on. Wallace out-Pitinos Pitino in
all of Rick's negative qualities and has none of his positives.
At least ML was a likeable guy. It's funny how so much about becoming an NBA GM
is being in the right place at the right time and knowing how schmooze with the
owner. Were all these fans congratulating Wallace on the great job he's done
rebuilding the Celtics delusional, not paying attention, or just very polite
liars?
As for his babies Kedrick and Vin, I suppose there is an exceedingly small
possibility that they will make Wallace look good this season. But what I saw
at Shaw's was a guy who had greats hops, played pretty good D, and made an
occasional smooth-looking 3. But KB doesn't have 1/10 of the basketball sense
that the worst player on the Argentina or Yugo teams has. He's not a basketball
player. He is an athlete who plays basketball because he's 6-7 and can jump
like a flea. I also saw a guy at Shaw's who IS a basketball player, maybe even
a serviceable PG. But he got shipped out to Seatlle to save, what, 900K? (I
know, by Pondscum's math that saved Thanksdad $20 million dollars or
something). Baker? Maybe it's possible to fundamentally change who you are, but
I'd bet against it (although hope for it, even if it saves Wallace's arse).
I'll wait for the preseason games to make my prediction, but right now the
outlook is not very good.
