Chad F. in his daily ESPN Insider column has the Celtics finishing sixth

in the Eastern Conference, trailing New Jersey, Charlotte, Indiana,
Detroit, and Orlando; with Milwaukee and Miami bringing up the playoff
rear.

Hmmm!

I can't believe that a Brown-coached-and-Iverson-led team
won't make the playoffs. And won't Washington with Stackhouse,
Langston Hughes and Sixth Man of the Year candidate Jordan be better?
And what of all the positive modifications the Hawks have undertaken
this offseason?  And Da Booolz.  Truly an opportunity for Jason Williams

to establish himself as second best PG in the conference.

Whatever the case, the C's better find a quality PG, as the East
seems to be improving by leaps and bounds (of which the C's could
use an Oakley type to snare a few)....
