USA Today blows player rankings, again!

Another one of their "how to lie with numbers" if not statistics!

Only USA Today could rank David Robinson above Shaquille O'Neal or Brent Barry above Tracy
McGrady and Kobe.

Are they on drugs? I thought stupid pills had been outlawed. The problem, when ranking players in
10 classes is that (1) each class is equal to the others. Thus assists = rebounds for centers (as
an example), and (2) there is no difference between levels. #1 is exactly one unit better than
#2, than #3 etc. But if "A" scores 30 ppg, and "B" "C" and "D" are all 10.2, 10.1, 10.0, they are
still evenly spaced in the rankings.

So I ask you again, "are the writers at USA Today taking stupid pills"?
