Re: Making Tommy Heinsohn happy



I liked where you were going with this, Eggy, as far as the running game and
the separation of Baker from the Captains.  I DO think it's by design, where
Baker gets to run the floor, set up down low and feed the rim from the hub
and work with cutters.  It IS two different teams, playing two different
games.  I know I like the Baker game better, and even though it was sloppier
(if you subtract all of PP's individual gaffes), it's still very early.  As
to the comparison between Vin and Battie, it's pretty much a stretch.
Battie does his share of rebounding, Vin hasn't.  Vin passes, handles the
ball and shoots layups. Battie finishes with short jumpers from the
baseline, out of the line of fire.  Very different games from two guys in
the same position.  Vin COULD learn how to rebound better from Battie, who
learned footwork from Vitaly last year.
