DTV/League Pass Extend agreement



New York, Nov. 20 -- DIRECTV, Inc., provider of the nations leading digital
satellite television service, and the National Basketball Association
announced today a six-year agreement for DIRECTV to continue to carry NBA
TV, the league's 24-hour television network, and NBA LEAGUE PASS, the
league's comprehensive subscription package of NBA games. NBA TV will begin
airing live NBA game coverage during the 2002-03 season.

NBA TV, which launched in 1999, will televise a full slate of live NBA and
WNBA regular season and playoff games. NBA TV also combines real-time
statistics, scores, and news from NBA.com, with live studio-based
programming, live "look-ins" of games in progress, highlights and vintage
NBA games and programming from the award-winning archives of NBA
Entertainment. NBA TV will also air a package of National Basketball
Development League (NBDL) games, the NBA's minor league.

to provide its more than 11 million customers with access to NBA LEAGUE

proud that NBA TV will be available to at least 18 million homes across the
nation when the network begins airing live games during the season."

Fans who subscribe to NBA LEAGUE PASS can watch up to 40 NBA games from
outside of their home city each week of the regular season, through April
16, for only $179. NBA TV is offered at no additional charge to DIRECTV
customers who subscribe to NBA LEAGUE PASS or the TOTAL CHOICEB. PREMIER
package and it is also available in the DIRECTVB. SPORTS Pack premium
package.
