Hello all.  I've been on the list a long time and occasionally comment.

Last night was indeed ugly and disappointing, but frankly not to be
unexpected for probably the first 20 games or so.  Think about it.  Your
point guard is gone.  Your defensive spark plug (Strickland) is gone.  I
got the impression last year that Strick would get in other players
faces and demand better defense.  He certainly demanded it by example.
A.W. looks like the A.W. of old, dribbling into double teams, spinning
and losing the ball.  Could it be no one is there to yank his chain for
doing that?

I do believe they will improve enough to sneak into the playoffs.

Two other thoughts:
Vin Baker has some sweet spin moves, but why does he not end them with a
thunderous dunk?  Everything is a soft shot ripe for blocking.
In the Globe yesterday there was a blurb about the possibility of a new
building for the C's.  I'm surprised no one talked about that.
