Mark, you just don't understand basketball. He coudn't carry Gary Payton's, or
even Chucky Atkins's jockstrap. His teams always get bounced in the first
round. The difference from last season is having Kmart and Kittles back. Steph
would've won 70 games for the Nets if they hadn't traded him for that
bricklaying chump.

7.	The last four minutes obviously were a near nightmare for the Celts
(sometimes you wonder if there's an ounce of basketball sense in these
guys), but how about the first four possessions of the fourth quarter? They
missed two quick threes and two long jumpers and just like that it was a
ballgame again. They still get sloppy. It's exasperating to watch. CNNSI's
Marty Burns wrote this today, and I think he pretty much nailed it:

I can't remember being more upset watching a game than in those four minutes.
Pierce was absolutely killing them on offense - it was a turnover, a missed
shot, or missed FTs every time he touched the ball. Yet the Celtics gave it to
him on every single possession when, for the first time perhaps ever, they
shouldn't have. I was almost certain he was going to lose the game, and by
that, the series, for us. But he recovered his composure enough to seal the
game. Still, if the Nets had been just a bit more competent or luckier at the
end, who knows.
The upside is that Pierce is very unlikely to have a game like that again. On
the other hand, while our defense was good, I thought it didn't account for all
the incompetence on the Nets' (except Kidd and Harris) part. I think the Nets
just had a bad game, and are sure to play better in Boston. As long as they
have Kidd, they're dangerous.
