Last minute thoughts.

I've been so caught up in the media view of tonight's game, I haven't had
much time to formulate any views on what adjustments the Celtics need to
make to win tonight.
Besides playing better defense; making sure that every possession is a
good one. Take care of the ball and look for the open man.
How long has it been since any team has not doubled Pierce? Detroit
thinks Michael Curry can handle him alone. If he can, we're in trouble. On
the other hand, can 25 other teams be wrong? I think that we need to change
the way Paul gets the ball, for this series. Perhaps he can move without the
ball at times, get some low post picks and even some picks at the top of the
key, to get some room between him and Curry. Let Walker start the play in
the post and pass out to Paul, instead of vice versa.
Walker has to plan on playing some defense on Robinson, on the perimeter.
Antoine should get more rest, because he will have to work much harder.
The announced plan of working Eric Williams down low on Stackhouse is
sound.
Kenny should continue to penetrate, but the center, or the offside
forward has to come to the basket for the dish off.
I think, Tony Delk should be given a chance to shoot more. He was three
for three last game and has a big heart. If he gets hot, it changes all of
Detroit's schemes. Chucky Atkins can not guard him.
Tony Battie should be worked on offense, early and often. Keep Ben
Wallace busy and perhaps get him some early fouls. I'd also like to see
Walter play more and go strong to the basket. If Wallace wants to deny the
perimeter, we have to attack the gut of the defense and make him pay.
That's it folks. I do expect a win tonight. Figure O'Brien and Harter had
very little time to prepare a game plan for the Piston's and the team was
on emotional overload following the Sixers' series. We should see the team;
rested, hungry and prepared.
   Go C's.
