RE: ESPN Insider article...



Based on those stats I will agree with the defensive improvement, and maybe
some better board help and shot blocking is really what we need.  Who would
have thought Ben Wallace would be so aggressive in shot blocking.

That's why I liked us going after  Marc Jackson and even Adonal Foyle.

Tony looked pretty aggressive today against the bucks.,

I agree his hands are not that good at this point, but, IMHO, we need a
defensive presence in the middle and Kandi can provide that.  We don't need
him to try to emulate Duncan offensively.

But consider that he has 128 blocks this year compared to a combined 77 from
TB and VP.  Or that he has 499 defensive rebounds compared to our guys 421.
If we are looking for a guy who can grab the rebound and get the fast break
started, he may be the guy.  If we are looking for a smooth, polished guy
with low post moves, he may not be the guy.

I think with Pierce and Toine, he would not be anything more than a third
option at best offensively.
