Re: The Boston Celtics Mailing List Digest V9 #91

Look, Jerry West is as good a GM as we've seen in the
last 20 years, but the fact that he makes mistakes
(add letting go Doug Christie and Anthony Peeler to
your list--and that was eddie jones AND eldon campbell
for glenn rice) tells you that nobody has all the
answers, and that the draft is an absolute crap shoot
sometimes.

the only instant fix in the NBA is adding shaq to
your existing lineup. seems to me that the celts are
doing it the right way--finding some key pieces,
limiting roster moves to create cohesion, managing the
luxury tax, and taking aim at success on the defensive
end. i challenge you to find a team that is doing more
with less in the NBA.

enjoy the ride, folks, and give wallace's plans time
to unfold. not every move he makes will work.

Great basketball mind might be stretching it. Remember
this is the same
guy
who traded away Eddie Jones for Glenn Rice. Also the
guy who took
Banana Boy
off our hands. For that last one alone he should be
seen with a weary
eye.
