Re: Re: big man/center hunt

The impending luxury tax will crimp deals the Celtics would like to make for
big men. On the other hand, I would consider offering Tony Battie plus pick
for Keon Clark, if Toronto is agreeable. Either way we must resign Rodney
Rogers, He is a keeper. If Cheapskate Gaston, does not want to pay a small
luxury tax to keep the current team intact, he needs to get out of the game.

Probable - Corie Blount, Hanno Motttola, Mike Doleac, Brian Skinner, Mikki
Moore, Carlos Rogers, Kevin Willis, Cherokee Parks, Jaron Collins, Dean
Garrett, Obinna Ekezie, Stanislav Medvedenko, Chris Dudley, Art Long, Olumine
Oyudeji,

Long-shots - Keon Clark, Raef Lafrenz, Scott Williams, Rasho Nesterovic, Gary
Trent, Loren Woods, Malik Rose, Michael Olowakandi

Among them i think it would be Kevin Willis who could help the Celts in the
short term. His experience and veteran savvy could really help this young
team. Signing him to a 2-year contract for the mid-level exception would be a
good move imo. Corie Blount or Brian Skinner would be a big help in the
rebounding and shot-blocking department, and either of them could be had at a
bargain price, which is what I think Chris Wallace is looking for. Hanno
Mottola has been overachieving for the Hawks lately. He would be the 3rd
Center in the Celts rotation if ever. If he'll sign for the minimum he could
be of some help to the team, definitely an upgrade on Mark Blount!
