Re: Possible Second Round Picks For The Celtics

The comparison is reasonable. He is 19. This could be either a positive and a negative point. He still has much to improve and playing in the NBA is completely different from our national championship. I am very optimistic about him and it would be great to see him play for the Celts.
There is a small profile on him here:http://nbadraft.net/profiles/andersonvarejao.htm

Hey Rodrigo-
Which given your Brazilian email address sounds like you've seen him play. So what more can you tell us about him? Is the Tom Chambers/Raef LaFrentz comparison reasonable or wishful thinking. What exactly makes you think he compares with them. How old is he? What's his best offensive move/ability? How is he on rebounding and reacting on defense? What sort of hands?
Thanks

1. Anderson Varejao - Now this could be a great draft pick.
Vaarejao, a 6-10 and growing Brazilian wowed the scouts (along
with his teammate Nene Hillario), as a member of the Brazilian
National team. His time away from the National Team in
Europe with FC Barcelona hasn't been as productive, and
thus he's drawn scant attention compared to his lottery-
bound teammate. But Anderson has talent and is in
the Tom Chambers/Raef LaFrentz mode.
