Projected Celtics Starters And Roster

Your Starting Lineup:

C - Vin Baker - Out of shape, no "D", injury prone, lacks confidence,
needs to be motivated,
cap killing contract. Sure let's trade for him. And while it wouldn't
surprise me to see him
change his ways and play well the first season with the Celtics, years 2
- 4 are sure
be an aging treat.

PF - Antoine Walker - Someday management will figure out he's a small
forward, even if his "d" sucketh. Walker and Baker may be the worst
defensive tandem at C and PF in the NBA.

SF - Eric Williams - Coach loves him, but should have been tossed in
Baker
trade. On very few clubs, could he be a starting small forward. Perhaps
none.

SG - Pierce - Not Kobe, but can't complain.

PG - Shammond Williams - Another freakin' combo guard. O'Boring loves
these types. Funny, how real point guards seem to exploit the Celtics.
All I know, is that Dickau was available for a future first, and he
would
have filled the bill. Dickau is likely a better prospect that whatever
PG the
C's draft next year, unless they end up in the lottery.

The Benched Bench

Tony Battie - What the Celtics should do with Battie is package him with

Kedrick Brown, Eric Williams, and a couple of picks for a real center
and
and a wing player. Call the Clippers.

Kedrick Brown - Two down from his draft class. Time to start up the
Kedrick Brown Celtics' Death Pool. Will be interesting, if by the
trading
deadline, the Celtics suddenly decide they need a real PG and Kedrick's
just the right man to
be dealt. Brown had a disappointing Shaw's league, and can't even beat
out Eric
Williams. Let's hope he wins the dunking contest, if they have one at
the All-Star
game, to boost up his trade value. And it would be nice if O'Boring
actually
plays him.

Tony Delk - Another yucky contract, another freakin' combo guard,
another poor
defender. These things run in cycles.

Bruno Sundov - Someone teach him interior defense, because this team
needs it.
Really. Develop him into a defensive presence and it will be a great
signing.

JR Bremer - On the cheap and has some potential. C's need a defender
at the point, so hope he develops.

Oliver Miller? - Sure why not.

Darius Songaila? - Sure why not.

Terquin Mott? - Sure why not.

Hey, there's even room for Omar Cook or whatever mystery players they
invite
to training camp or pick off the waiver wire. And there must be some
Euros on the cheap.
