Orlando at 8

Based on the last game, it is simply impossible to call
JR Bremer an NBA player. He was far outplayed by Omar
Cook. If that's not saying much for Omar Cook, than so be
it (although I liked what Omar was able to create out of
what the defense gave him). Incidentally, he did pass
very well into the pivot on at least one occasion. For
Omar's sake, I hope the decision to sign Bremer came
before the second game, and in no way implies the summer
comp for that spot is finished.

Tonight's opponent Orlando has brough zero talent to the
Shaw League, which in general has dropped off drastically
in talent from last year.

Jerryl Sasser is arguably the "franchise" player.
Potential "El Busto" Steven Hunter is on the roster, but
was a DNP-CD last game. Vonteego Cummings has made it
most of the way in his transition to point guard. He was
a nice all-around guard in the Big East.

Corey Hightower is a former Juco teammate of the immortal
Ernest Brown. Hightower was a stat machine in Juco.
Olumide Oyedeji has been on the Euro allstar circuit for
awhile.

Ryan Humphrey is a fighting irish player. He supposedly
has added a jumpshot in the offseason. He was a definite
plus rebounder in college, but who knows what position or
role he'll play in the pros.

Orlando has some obviously smart people in charge, but at
some point you have to start wondering about some of the
strange choices they've made in the draft over the past
few years.
