Anderson to Pacers?

I'm torn. On one hand, I think the Cs can do better than Tinsley and
Croshere. I'm not sure what Tinsley brings that Omar Cook doesn't --
sure, Tinsley had a quick start last year, but where was he down the
stretch? In the playoffs? Can he shoot or play defense any better than
Cook? I guess we'll get a chance to learn something about Omar during
Shaw's, especially since the trade can't happen until after Croshere's
base-year status elapses.

As for Croshere... yeah, he's got the New England college roots and he's
been a Celtic killer, but talk about your "Tuesday-Thursday" players. And
his contract makes Eric Williams' seem easy to swallow. I'd much rather
give Songalia a run -- and re-sign Rogers.

On the other hand, I'm glad Kenny's being evaluated as a valuable trade
commodity rather than a cap millstone who'll simply be let go after this
year. If Wallace is actually willing to take on a Croshere-size long-term
contract, why not aim higher? I'd rather dangle Kenny and his luscious,
juicy expiring contract at a team that's loading up for 2003. If things
start to get ugly enough with the Clippers, how about offering Kenny as a
lower-cost alternative to Baron Davis and Andre Miller, throw in a pick or
two and ask for Elton Brand? After all, they have 7 or 8 other power
forwards, don't they?
