Pierce an All-Star

Should come as no surprise. If Pierce had been left off the team, that would
have been a travesty.

There were some surprises, however, especially in the East. Mourning was
chosen, as was Abdur-Rahim. Baron Davis and Andre Miller were left off. I
know they voted for Mourning as the second-best center, but Jermaine O'Neal
could have been counted as a center (he basically plays center anyway).
Shareef really wasn't deserving at forward. The competition at power forward
in the East was really weak.

The West seems a little more along the lines of what you'd expect.
