I agree that this game was additional evidence that we don't do well against 
power teams or when the refs are letting them play. Our team just doesn't 
play that game well. One small defense for the Cs is that I have seen a few 
Heat games and Grant was throwing up bricks in them...Although the Cs were 
running a little in the first quarter, we aren't fast breaking nowhere near 
as much as we were in the first 20 games. Kenny, Strickland and VP do their 
part but you rarely see Pierce, Walker, JJ, EW or Battie breaking down the 
court. These are the guys who would be finishing the break. This is one way 
for a finesse team to overcome a power team. However, you got to put out more 
energy...The two rookies are ticking me off a little. JJ is in jeopardy of 
losing his starting position by being so ineffective. He never looks for his 
shot and continually throwing it back to KA to restart the play. His mindset 
is totally different in garbage time. This shows me he is so afraid of making 
a mistake when it counts. We need him to at least be an offensive threat so 
the defense will honor him and open things a little for PIerce and Walker. 
With Brown, I have lavished great amounts of praise for his potential. 
However, I hate his lope down the court. I think someone with his speed and 
the fact he is a rookie that he needs to get his rear end down the court. The 
veterans can lope. He needs to show that he wants to play. He also doesn't 
seem to like to even be out there in garbage time. He was 1-4 at the line and 
he looked like he wasn't concentrating. I don't know the kid so this may just 
be his style. You just want a kid who knows he is only going to play three 
minutes in a game to play as hard as he can during those three minutes...I 
also had checked out Dale Davis as trade goal. He was a warrior when he was 
with Indy. His contract is short term so that might work. However, the 
problem is who could figure out exactly Portland would want in a trade in 
return? They are already overloaded in 2s and 3s so you can forget about JJ 
or Forte. They maybe could use Vitally to play against Shaq. This team has 
such chemistry problems and overloaded contracts that it would take a master 
plan to sort out a different direction. I watched Oakley play a little 
against the Wizards last night and he still has skills and a one year 
contract. He can shoot some from outside and I think he could be the backup 
relief for Walker that we need....
