Strickland

He gives energy for sure, but there are a few things that really annow me
about him. One is his "shoot first" mentality. He needs to realize that he
is not the teams first offensive option. Too many times he looks for his own
shot. You can tell when he gets the ball if he is going to shoot it.
Especially near the end of games he needs to realize that his job is to give
the ball to Paul. Last night Pierce comes in with about 5 and a half to go.
It was obvious that Obie rested Paul so that he would be the most rested
player on the court for the last 5 minutes. I think Strick took 4 shots
before Paul took one. I don't think Paul got the ball until about 2 minutes
left and promptly hit a 3. By then though, it was too late. Paul went on to
hit 2 more 3's before the end of the game.
I can see why Strick has such a tough time sticking with any team. To me, he
is not a team player. He is a tough kid who occasionally hits some shots. He
needs to learn his role better.
Any thoughts?
