RE: Pacers-Bulls deal

Agreed Mark, if this deal goes down, it is fantastic for Indiana. Isiah
won't look so bad with the defensively minded Artest on the court and B.
Miller and O'Neal playing together up front. With Mercer, Bender,
Foster and Harrington (next year) coming off the bench, the Pacers have
a heckuva young squad.

Looks like the Pacers are making a bold move. I really like this one for
Indy. They add Miller to play alongside Jermaine O'Neal, giving them far
and away the best C-PF combo in the East. Artest replaces Rose and
provides the defense and toughness they lack at that position, without
completely giving away offense. And Mercer gives them a shooter off the
bench to spell Reggie and Artest. They lose Rose, but they have Artest
and, next year, a healthy Al Harrington. They lose Best, but he was a
free agent after the season anyway, and they add Ollie to backup
Tinsley. Just a great deal for that team. They get bigger, tougher and
don't lose their versatility. This also allows Jeff Foster to come off
the bench, where he should be even more effective.

Great deal. Too bad they still have Isiah on the bench.
