Moves The Celtics Competitors Have Made & Contemplating

Knicks - Magic Johnson as their future GM, so intones one NYC scribe.
Larry will be even more pissed off. And does anyone doubt that the
Knicks are the prohibitive favorites in the Lebron James sweepstakes,
thanks to the The Fixer. Beware the Knicks next season, if they get
James
and a healthy McDyess returns.

Philly - Quite happy with the addition of Kenny Thomas.
Keeps Coleman rested for the playoffs, and adds another
scorer/rebounder to the lineup. Philly a much better club
this season than last.

Magic - In talks with the Grizzlies for Stromile Swift. Hardly
"devalued" as some claim. Doubt the C's could get him for Kedrick:
"1.5 injuries vs. 0.6 points" Brown and two -- useless at the moment --
firsts.

New Jersey - In discussions with Chicago for Marcus Fizer, but what can
they give
up? Don't want to saee Celtics killer Fizer on NJ that's fer shure....

Miami - With Pat Riley liking Antoine Walker so much, perhaps the best
way to turn the
C's into legitimate championship contenders  -- which they're not by the
way, something
even the delusional pom-pom boys would grasp, if they watched the better
Western
Conference teams play -- would be by trading Walker to Miami for Butler
and Miami's
lottery pick. Draft a young big man (of which they'll be plenty in the
upcoming draft -

good things
will follow.
