I don't see why Kim keeps calling him a Journeyman...those guys sign for the

Well first, salary is one of the stupidest ways there is to judge a player. Pot made significantly more than Pierce last year. Salary is a function of a lot of things and proven ability may be one of the least of them.

It also sounds like you're taking journeyman to mean worthless. That's your definition, not the usual. Good journeyman (what I actually said, not just journeyman) in any profession is exactly what you described Rogers to be - a solid pro. Look, here's the definition from Merriam Webster online:
2 : an experienced reliable worker or performer especially as
distinguished from one who is brilliant or colorful <a good journeyman
trumpeter -- New Yorker> <a journeyman outfielder>

That being said, in a world where salary works properly (not this one), you're still wrong - projects or borderline players sign for the minimum. Journeymen sign for midlevel, journeymen salaries. Which is what he did.

First off...Rodney Rodgers is not slow.

He is very fast for someone thats 260 pounds. He was step to quick for nearly
anyone close to his weight guarding him. You can't have someone that big and
strong and expect him to be as quick as K. Brown. He is faster then other
little big man like say Danny Fortson, Tractor Traylor and so on. He looks
nearly as fast as Walker despite outweighing him, and I think he jumps
better.
Look, please read what I actually said. I said he was slow to react. I did not say he was slow per se. In fact I even added in a response to Joe that he is probably fairly quick FOR HIS SIZE although I thought he might be starting to show signs of slowing down a bit with age. Speed running down the court or making a first step when he gets to decide when to make it doesn't change the fact that too many things went past him before he even twitched. They're too different things. Bird wasn't fast per se but WAS very quick to react, to take the opposite example.

I mean really..who in your heart do you think is better?

Kieth Van Horne or Rodney Rogers. Rogers is a better player in a heartbeat.
Thats harsh...for Van Horne but true. Rogers shoots better, he is faster and
wow is he stronger. Not to mention Rodgers is one of those fearless tough
guys, (like Strickland) only with lots more talent.
Which is a pointless comparison. I can find a bunch of guys better than Rodney and a bunch of guys worse than him. True of any player. And irrelevant, since that wasn't what I based what I said on.

Come on now Kim...
Rogers was clearly the fourth or third best player on our team. Easily.
Likely he was
one of the most talented players on our roster.
I didn't say he wasn't valuable, although I wouldn't rank him that high (Walker, Pierce, Battie and Anderson all meant more overall to our record). In fact that's exactly what I said - that I thought people were overvaluing him because of what he brought to us specifically that we needed.

You seem to have decided that I've said that Rogers was scum we were better off without rather than reading what I actually said. Which was that it was a disappointment and a loss and that losing him for purely financial reasons was very bad, but that I thought people were going WAY overboard about what Rodney was with phrases like HUGE blow. Losing Walker or Pierce or Battie (our starting center until proven otherwise) would be a huge blow. Based upon how much difference he made to the offense when on the court last season, I could probably even be convinced of losing Anderson as a huge blow. Losing Rodney leaves a hole, and I'm sorry it happened, but he's valuable, not irreplacable.
