Rogers interest: The agent for free-agent forward Rodney Rogers, James Williams, said the Heat are one of "four or five" teams that remain interested in Rogers.

The 6-foot-7 Rogers averaged 11.9 points last season with the Phoenix Suns and the Boston Celtics. He is seeking a contract that begins at or near the full $4.5 million exception.

Miami still has its entire $4.5 million exception to spend but may not be willing to use it on one player. The 76ers, who were chasing Rogers before they signed Greg Buckner to a six-year deal, have only $2.1 million remaining of their exception, and Williams said that is well below what Rogers is willing to sign for.
