That surprised me a little as well. He's a great player, but he just seems
to be a real mean streak shy of MVP. Just a little something.

As for Pierce... he's a top-10 MVP guy, but other than Nowitzki (and I'm not
sure even quibbling with that is fair), who do you quibble with on Hubie's
list? You can argue who is better between Pierce and McGrady, but McGrady
has carried that team pretty much by himself. Pierce has Antoine to help.
Kobe certainly should be in the discussion. Barkley and Kenny Smith made a
great point about Gary Payton-he deserves consideration. Webber will be in
the top 10. Stackhouse will get some votes. Garnett will always be in the
argument. Pierce should be included with all those guys.
