"(Now tell me)Who do you love?"

The above title to an old R & B song, which I believe was covered
(perhaps even written ) by Ronnie Hawkins, the King of the bar bands (mentor
to; "The Band"), was dancing trough my head tonight.
The game was about over, as the third period was coming to a close and
Indiana's lead bouncing from 9-12, until Walter McCarty, with a little help
from his frenetic friend, Erick Strickland, carried what seemed to be a
lethargical, dead assed team to victory, with a stirring fourth quarter
comeback.
Yes, Paul Pierce played well and Rodney Rogers hustled and hit some big
shots, but it was the "dynamic duo" who forced the pace, ran both ends of
the floor, hit the big shots and perhaps, best of all, Walter; just skied
for rebounds over the Pacers' big men, who were eating us alive, until he
made his presence felt.
The rest of our players were walking up the floor with legs so heavy,
they belonged on an oak table. The Pacers who were out quicking us, all
night, to every spot, wouldn't keep up their pace either. They just wilted;
"died on the vine," as it were.
I don't know who else is in the running for comeback player of the year,
but Walter has come back; not only from within his coffin, but buried ten
feet deep. Didn't some wag from the mainstream press label him as the least
talented player in the league?
I don't know how the Celtics can not sign the both of them this summer.
If Gaston cheaps out on this team, I'm organizing a boycott.
Let's hear it; one time for the west coast audience:
    "I love Waltah!"
